  1. 1. After debating, here's the choices:

    • 12 12" DC LVL 4XLs, slightly lacking required airspace, 2k each
      12
    • 6 15" LVL5s, sufficient airspace, 4k each
      29
    • Other... please list below

So I've figured out how it will be setup, got the alt/battery situation in the works, and now just need recommendations for the equipment.

I definitely want DC subs, but I want it done right. I know that the 12 12s will have more cone area, but it'll be insufficient airspace and I don't want the subs to perform poorly in that box. I'm not very experienced with this type of setup as far as tuning and cabin loading, but I have a couple guys giving me some kick ass advice and I'm hoping for more.

Rusty wants me to do 12 LVL5 12s, but like I said, I don't want to do all that work just to find out that insufficient airspace kills my SPL. My goal is 159.9 bassrace, but I'm not expecting it.

So far here's the list of equipment: 7 HC2400s, 10+ HC1400s (depending on space), 3-4 300A Inter-linc alts (depends what they can do), 6 Memphis MCD4KWs on a ported clamshell (similar to Charger's and 2000lade's). That setup will be sufficient for power.

This should be done by SBN 2010. I'll just be getting back from overseas, and I'm gonna pull a Hank and build the bitch in a few days haha. (Not really)

Lemme know what you guys think!

I'm thinking the level 5's with the proper space and each getting 4000+ watts would be louder then 12 12's with not enough space and less power

but I'm no expert so I could be wrong

Well assuming I leave space for the rear bank and amp rack, build conforming to the car, and taking out the clam, we're looking around 23cu. for the 12 12s without compensating for sub displacement.

The 15s however would be inverted on the angled baffles on the same airspace.

I'm undershooting the air space a bit. My box now is 20.23cu net, but it's not built to confor mt the car and there's a lot of extra space to expand maintaining symmetry.

6 lvl 5's FTW!

although it would be nice 2 see 12 lvl4xl's but the lvl 5's would be louder i think

the only person i wouldnt let build my box would be Ray.
