slugdub
It might take a bit of the ol Trigonometry to figure out your volume, but I saw this video and it looked pretty wild. Saves time building the box, you just need endcaps. http://www.viddler.com/explore/SYSTM/videos/99/ Here is the what I mean: Some other people experimenting: http://www.hometheaterhifi.com/volume_6_3/...ptember-99.html I couldn't find any info on the El Tubo stuff, but the options for application are endless. I have two twelves to box and have no clue how to do an 'acoustic suspension' or whatever it would take to accommodate both in a tube. Acoustic suspension generally refers to making a box smaller to improve linearity at higher power levels. I guess I'm a little confused as to what you're doing. Are you trying to put two in one sonotube? EDIT: i.e. one on either end? Edited March 25, 2009 by Neo_frog Quote Need an install? Hit me up.[email protected]Got car audio questions? A friend suggested you can put 1 at each end and swap polarities so one sucks when one pushes?
Neo_frog
Yeah, I would like to know how. A friend suggested you can put 1 at each end and swap polarities so one sucks when one pushes? So...an isobaric type setup? You know what, I'll have to back off on this one then. I'd suggest putting them into separate tubes or just doing a box. For some reason I see bad things happening from it, but wait for someone with experience there to help mang. Quote Need an install? Hit me up.[email protected]Got car audio questions? lanman31337
Isobaric is great for small box applications, but you can run only roughly half the power to the speakers. I don't know if some of you older guys remember the Advent Temple of Boom. It was 2 10 inch woofers in an isobaric pyramid enclosure. Back in the day those designs were the talk of the town. I think I'll back off too then. This sounds like a bit of a headache.

This sounds like a bit of a headache. They are not very efficient either. Mainly meant for saving space like lanman said. Nobody really does them anymore. At least not that I know of. Just say fuck it and do a wall! Quote Need an install? Hit me up.[email protected]Got car audio questions?
