Porter Cable 16ga Finish Nailer with 2" nails is all I use. I bet ive built more boxes than all SMD members combined.

....and for the record. Slot port dual 12 box for a tahoe. 49X14X15.5 built in 6 minutes. (no sub holes cut or carpet) 8)

Good time sir.... I want/need a panel saw :)

I HAVE BEEN BUILDING BOXES FOR MANY YEARS . I STARTED OUT USING SCREWS ( LOTS OF THEM) AS I FOUND OUT TOO MANY SCREWS ACTUALITY WEAKENS THE WOOD , AND IT TAKES FOR EVER , IF YOU USE SCREWS YOU NEED TO PRE DRILL ALL THE HOLES , LIKE I SAID TAKES FOR EVER, NOW I USE A STAPLE GUN THATS SHOOTS 1.5 INCH STAPLES , ALL THE STAPLES DO IS HOLD THE BOX TOGETHER WHILE THE GLUE DRIES , THATS BEING SAID MAKE SURE YOU USE GOOD GLUE ( NOT ELEMERS PARER GLUE ) WHEN YOU PUT IT ON MAKE SURE YOU COVER THE ENTIRE EDGE OF THE WOOD , DON,T WORRY ABOUT EXCESS GLUE YOU CAN WHIP IT OFF OR SAND IT , MAKE SURE YOU SEE THE GLUE COME OUT OF THE EDGE WHEN YOU FASTEN IT , I USE 1 STAPLE EVERY 4-5 INCHES . REMEMBER TOO MANY SCREWS OR STAPLES IS BAD NOT GOOD . P.S MAKE SURE YOU BUY A GOOD STAPLE GUN, YOU WILL SAVE MONEY IN THE LONG RUN .

Why are you yelling?

i was thinking leave the 12 sitting in the box in the hole and duck tape from the bottom of the sub to the bottom of the baffle so the sub doesnt free air. would that work?
