Gots A New Drill

After 2 years of beating on my Skill drill it went from this:

So ive been out of a drill (dont even have one with a cord) for like 3 months and i couldn't take it anymore. Took a trip to Home Depot with my bro and picked this up:

It even came with this little guy for free...WOW this thing is a BEAST (1400 in. pounds of torque...the larger drill is only 650 in pounds of torque).

It cost a lot more than i had planned for, but if you wanna play you gotta pay. Plus this thing should last for a long time..im hoping lol.

oh and your really gonna love the impact if you never had one before chances are, youll use it more then the drill. lol

Milwaukee makes a bad drill! I got a buddy who uses his cordless to cut 2" holes through 1" wood. With a big nasty bit. They have more grunt that lots of corded drills.

Even matches your old ones color.

Lol im scared to use that thing, shattered 2 bits and broke an extension with it already haha. I use it mainly for my car now, got some adapters so i can use 1/4", 1/2", and 3/4 sockets with it. Sometimes the air impact gut is just too big to get into some places.

what kinda bits you using in it?

I was using craftsman, but my mikita shatters them like a champ too Lol

I was giving some irwin bits, and i dont think I broke no more then 2 on over 200 bus install, but broke about 10 or 11 craftsman bits within about 100 idenical installs.

werd, my makita twists the craftsman 3/8" bits until they snap. I have a harbor freight 1/4" drive one that I've been useing for almost two years now and it hasn't broke. I bought a snap-on 3/8" drive and I've had it for about 3months with no problems... and even if I do have a problem it will get swapped out.

I got a 2 pack kit and all I use is the impact. I think I have used the drill like twice

I use the Dewalt hardened Black bits. They don't last forever but last longer then the grey standard ones. I find I just buy them in bulk so I don't run short.

i mean, i like my itty bitty ryobi, cuz it recharges in like half an hour and weighs all of a pound, but its slow as shit

had a makita for the longest time (old one with the big ass stick battery that went in the grip)

i lost it for months, turned out it was in a wheelbarrow full of water, that froze over winter. it spent like 4 months in there and came out with the batt still charged, lol

it still works actually, i think my dad has it in his toolbox somewhere...

but wtf are you guys trying to do that you snap bits? all i ever snap is like the random tiny drillbit.

i was using some cheap bits just to play around with the drill but ive got a set of the dewalt high impact bits, haven't used them yet tho

the only thing i dont understand about the dewalt kit is the bit adapters that come with them...they only let the bit go in about 1/4 of an inch and if you try to go to work with it and you arent perfectly straight to you're screw then the bit turns at an angle and the bottom of the bit gets all twisted up and it wont work right anymore. Just dosent make any sence to me why they dont have the bit go all the way into the adapter like every other adapter out there lol.
