sean 371
Just got a new tahoe today. well, new to me. anway, my question is should i go with type r 12's or 15's? The difference is around $160 bucks, so is that amount worth it to get the 15's? I've always ran 12's in the past, so 15's are new to me. worth it or not? Chode69
SIZE DOESNT ALWAYS MATTER....i have 2 12s and someone with a single 10 (Tommy for example) can blow me away. It mainly depends on how well AND what type of box your aiming for. But for most cases with DDs the 15s would acheive a louder bass (given the right enclosure) First of all how much are each the Type R 12 and the 15 so we can have some comparison area. I want to know what price you will be paying. I can look how much it will cost me but i wanna know what its gonna cost you. sean 371
i think the 12's are 120 each on sonic, and the 15's are 200 each. they'll be powered by a 10001bd. i dont have the birthsheet for it, so i dunno what its really going to put out. but the 15's are rated at 800 watts, so they'll be a lil underpowered, while the 12's are rated at 500. I'm leaning toward the 15's at the moment Quote A couple links to some box builds: Tahoe Box 1, Tahoe Box 2, Nissan Titan, VW GTI, Mini-Bump, Hummer H2, Ford F-150 My own car builds (current setup --- under construction): Overall Thread, Kickpods, Dash, Back Doors Subwoofer Wall

Eddy722
Just go with the 12's unless you are planning to add an amp. Sub up port back.
sean 371
newer t10001. and i would go with the crx style, but i don't care how this setup will meter, it's more about what sounds and looks good. I personally like seeing the subs aimed back. and these will definately be ported, no matter which size i get.
