And my dad just deposited $3400 in quaters at his bank. i had to carry that, what a pain in the ass. I didn't see it personally but my girls grandfather was born in Russia and he was taught to never spend his change, save it instead and he ended up buying his first house in all change! LOL I believe it was like $15k and he didn't use a single bill I always save my change and never let them greedy cashiers keep my penny. I usually only pay in cash and i save my change at the end of the day I drop it in a huge glass vase that is the size of a beach ball. At the end of the day I through all my change in there and then take it to the coin star in my credit union once a year (and they don't charge me for using it either) and put it in its own account. I did that four years while in high school and had enough money to pay my first year of tuition and books at Arizona State University.
