Superjay to the rescue!

Good to see ya over here bro. There's been a few PB posts lately.

Designing, building, and shipping boxes. Yahoo IM - kingsuv00If the listening level is too loud, please inform the driver, so he can promptly pull over, and let you out.

not many cars can get me to pluggin my ears but this one.......damn. I mean the first minute is ok but that thing just really starts digging deeper and deeper in your earhole till you cant stand it no more. Seems like it does it with relative ease....16 12's on 8 amps.........gotta love it. :)

13.5" x 25.5" x 2.75", including the cover plates and connectors. The cover plates can be removed and painted or chromed, for those of you who like pretty installs.

I, for one, think that a good, clean and finished (meaning cover panels and no exposed wiring and secured wires) installs make for more reliable setups. Look at the guys in Europe... all of their SPL installs are pretty. I know, pretty doesn't add dB's, but it sure makes for better marketing. When we have better marketing, and systems people can look at and say "wow, that looks like it belongs there", not just a bunch of amps and a sub box thrown in the back of a car, people get interested in the sport. We will get more spectators, and then more people participating. When our sport gets more people it lives on forever.

They made football pretty, with big beautiful stadiums and expensive uniforms. Think, guys, if there are more people, you can make more than $300 for winning a world championship.

(I know I'm going to catch a lot of crap for this, too)

I've been beating on these amps for the better part of 3 months now. The 5000 is an absolute BEAST. I had to buy a new Xantrex power supply... it's a 12,000 watt monster. We had to run TWO dedicated 3-phase 440w power connections for it. This amp goes forever. I haven't done .5 ohm testing yet, so don't expect it until I get the testing done, but at .8 ohm it thermals in 19 minutes. That's a LONG time. Most amps will thermal in under 10 at full power.
