Yeh but that was a good while ago.....

and mdf has risen here about 8 months ago got two sheets of mdf it was $23 a sheet went and bought some 1.5months ago...and it was $29.50 a sheet :(

You should be glad you don`t live in Norway then, the price for the same size is about 100 dollars, everything here is so god damn expensive! Especially audio equipment, and even if i import from the states, I have to pay customs and shit like that and the price will be the same as it is here almost. I want to live in the States!!! :friends:

2x4s have never been actually 2x4s.....that is what they are when the are raw after trimming and making them straight they are 1.5x3.5....
at one point in history a 2x4 was actually 2 inchs by 4 inchs
Yeh but that was a good while ago.....

Reject sheets from a kitchen place FTW. 1.5" for $5 a sheet, OK so sometimes the corners are smashed or it has dents but at that price who cares :o

1.5" thick? or 1.5" strips of 3/4" mdf? hope its not the second lol

1.5" thick. They use it to make kitchen counter-tops with this crappy-ass 'marble' veneer ;/ Sometimes you even get a veneered bit on the 'throw away' pile, makes for funny looking boxes :P
