Subs Wired To 2 Ohms Reading 1.5 Ohms On Dmm

Recommended Posts

I wired my subs to 2 ohms today. Just like on the Rockford Site. But my Dmm is reading 1.5 ohms. Is this normal or what. I gotta run 2 Sundown Saz1500d's @ 2 ohms? Will I be able to do it or will I mess the amps up? Go into protect. What will happen. I am running the Fi 15" BL Dual 2 ohm subs.

Fi subs never read what they say they are. As Kicker guy said you should be fine running them.

I wired my 2 dual 2 ohm DC audio level 3 subs and I get 1.2 ohms at the amp. Tell me how it does that. lol I think it will be fine too.

Uhh that happened to me. I had 2 DVCs 4ohm each. When wired to 2 ohms I got 0.7ohms. Anything below 1.5 is weird for 2ohms...

In my case, one of the VC's measured to 1ohm instead of 4ohms... It also wasn't performing as well.

I basically blew the sub

That really is not the same. I have 4 voice coils at 2ohms each that equal 1.2 at the amp. It should equal .5 or less.
