brewer_brewer Posted May 4, 2009 Report Posted May 4, 2009 i'd say no on the atomic's unless this is a comp based setup. if you want a loud CLEAN daily then no way on the atomic's the gap in the motor is way to tight and the spiders are way to stiff to play music all day. i would go with the DC's because they are designed for spl and music. some of you might disagree with the statement about the atomic's but i used these years ago and they are not musical subs. uhoh_45 Posted May 5, 2009 Report Posted May 5, 2009 i disagree my apxx's play music just fine my apx 18 plays music daily just fine i listen to it couple hours out of the day in the garage setup.. my buddys running a DD z1 to his 2 apx 12s daily and they sound great the apx is more daily oriented as where the apxx's are more for spl R.I.P! If possible I would like to do something similar to jack's sleeper. The one with the 6 15's in the blowthrough with 12,000 rms!
