The Performer
I actually used the plast-x a few times and it helped but not anywhere nears enough. Would cleaning the headlights, wetsanding with 2000 grit, then buffing work and when done plast-x it? I think your correct on the bulbs heating the plastic too much for a clearcoat.Yes that is what I was kinda talking about in the reply, a good cleaning, then wetsanding down all the yellowed top of the plastic will do wonders. Just do a wax coat after the plast-x as a final buffing on the lenses. However I must stress that any headlight housing that has experienced yellowing you can return back to normal, but it will be more prone to yellowing happening again, so you MUST keep up with cleaning and waxing regularly. If not then they will yellow again, and even faster than before and you'll have to do the whole process again. CERTIFIED BITCHES!!! Not being new at something doesn't mean anything. The Performer
Some more work I did. Clear coated and polished out. Look at my build and there's some more pics of that emblem at night, there's actually nightshade in the middle of all that black. CERTIFIED BITCHES!!! The Performer
Haha, sorry guys but when I did the chevy emblem it wasn't in the intention of making a tut. but I have a few inner shots of the LED's and what not I'll have to load up. I got a buddy with an 83' he wants to do similar to, maybe there will be some pics in that. CERTIFIED BITCHES!!! Not being new at something doesn't mean anything. The Performer
Did some blacked out tail lights for a buddy. Just a coat of VHT nightshade, and then a follow up with coats of clear, then wetsanded and polished to perfection. It seems like every spray can job I do I become more and more impressed with the potential that comes from a cheap paint. CERTIFIED BITCHES!!! Not being new at something doesn't mean anything.
