newls1
why would you get a 275? get the 285 mane! Don't get the 295 ever, sucks balls just like any other dual gpu card and its 2 gtx 260's and the 260 were bad enough! What the hell? First off, have you ever owned a GTX295? I guess not. I've had 4 GTX295 each and everyone was amazing. Quad SLi is mostly pointless, but 1 GTX295 is insanely fast, so I just cant understand how you could make a comment like that. Tell us what FIRST HAND experience you have with that card to make a comment like you did? The 9800GX2 was a POS card, and really gave NV a bad rep for a little while while they were rapping the customers for a POS design, and the 7950GX2 was a first shot at nvidia going this route so coverage/support was very limited, and so was the drivers. AND, here is the most important thing: If you knew what the hell you were talking about, the GTX295 IS NOT 2 GTX260's in sli on a single card. IT IS 2 GTX275... The GTX260 is an insanely awesome card for the money, I cant understand why you are dissing that as-well. Why you act like a fool? I love my staffie So anti FACEBOOK it isn't even funny

newls1
The difference between the 260/275/280/285 are all pretty simple. Of course the given clock speeds are different and the ram they use is different (GTX260/295 use H2C) (GTX275/280/285 use H3C mem) I think im correct, been awhile! but the main difference is SP's, and bus width. GTX260/275/295 is 448bit, and the 280/285 is512bit. The 280/285 cards are really the same damn card, but a die shrink, and the 285 IS NOT software Volt modded friendly, nor is the 275, or the NEWER version of the GTX295, but the older model 295, and the 65nm gtx260/280's are able to be volt modded in software, which is a huge bonus. The GTX260 is 216sp's (there is also the 1st version which is 192), the GTX275/280/285/295 is 240sp's. This is why the GTX295 is EXACTLY 2 GTX275's squeezed into 1 card....240sp's, 448bit bus, and 896mb ram x2!! Make sense?
