VistaV6
Hey guys, recently installed a sealed box of two 12" JL audio w3's in my trunk. They are great but I would like them to hit harder. I got them from Crutchfield so I can still send them back. I am debating buying one 12" W7 and putting it in a ported box. Can anyone who knows a lot about JL audio speakers help me out and tell me if this would really be any louder? Quote SUCCESS is a decision, NOT a dream. Beanz
why not just run those w3s in a ported box? Quote That's why they don't deliver. Yer ass better go sit along the side of the road and wait. You can't expect them to travel up some dirt road in a hick / back woods town. Thats how horror movies start I explain things very simply and use analogies in terms of Pickles, and grape drink, pool noodles and jackhammers...if you can't put 2 and 2 together there man, There simply is not much more I can do. VistaV6
why not just run those w3s in a ported box? Because like I said, I can still return them for a full refund. just_dave
Just an observation but... sending the subs back to Crutchfield just because they don't bump hard enough for you isn't a very good reason for returning them. But yeah, a vented enclosure will help those subs thump. Enclosures can make or break a subs performance. Beanz
but youd have more cone area with the 2 12s then the one 12 and when you do port the 2 12s you'd notice a big difference i guarantee it.
