I have 2 P2 12's duel coil 4 ohm and 1 12 in 4 ohm sub

Can I temporary hook it up this way until I get 2 more P2 subs?

P2 12 @ 8ohms

p2 12 @ 2ohms

1 12 @ 4 ohms

according to the ohm calculator this would work out to 1.14 ohms

please dont bang me if this is a stupid question.. But I really need to know because I dont know :)

I am getting my T10001bd today and I need a temporary solution until I can get 2 more subs

Either that or I can go

2ohm

2ohm

4ohm

for a total of .80 ohm but I dont think the amp can handle that and I am not comfortable doing that.

I would like to use the full capabilities of the amp if I could

I could just wire the p2's at 4ohm but then I am only using half the amp.

I would hook the 2 p2s up @ 2 ohms ...and not worry about that 3 sub

Wouldn't the T10001bd smoke the p2 12's at 2ohm .. .I believe that is 750rms that would be 375rms for each and they are only rated at 250rms

at 1 ohm it would be 500rms each... that would fry them for sure

You can do it, but the power to the 3 subs will not be distributed evenly.

Current system:

1997 Blazer - (4) Customer Fi NEO subs with (8) American Bass Elite 2800.1s

Previous systems:

2000 Suburban - (4) BTL 15's and (4) IA 40.1's = 157.7 dB at 37 Hz.

1992 Astro Van - (6) BTL 15's and (6) IA 40.1's = 159.7 dB at 43 Hz.

or you could wire the 3 to 2.6 ..if your worried about power on the subs

That is my concern there too much power for what I have for now.... Have to wait to get a couple more p2 12's to take full advantage of the T10001bd

so the 3rd 12" isnt a p2... in that case dont mix different woofers and stick with the p2s

So better off just running at 4 ohm? or how could I wire it to get the most out of the amp without smoking the subs?

That makes sense.. never thought of it like that
