Hey guys, this is my first time wiring a system and I have everything down except for the remote line, my friend has an 09 scion tc with an upgraded head unit, its a pioneer double din.

I dont know where to put the remote line in this thing, I have to hook it up into the wire that powers on the HU right?

There will be a blue wire on the back of the headunit label with a tag "REMOTE" :)

The white wire he listed is the factory wiring that goes from the factory headunit to the factory amp to turn it on..

From the way it sounds from him listing the vehicles wires, he snipped the plug like a idiot cuz spending 10 bucks on a wiring harness to keep factory plugs intact was not worth while on a brand new vehicle.

The wire he needs is a blue wire comming out of the headunit... Its always blue, and if he bought the wiring harness it would be a piece of cake.

use a DMM and check for a 12 volt wire....and see if it loses voltage when you turn the radio off....
