dleccord
hard to say. only way to know is to try. some will say aeros over slotted/squared ports, vice versa. if that aint loud enough on music, try a different tuning, possibly a lower one. also, it might be easy if you build those boxes with removable ports. Slinky
i honestly dont think there would be a diff in spl. i guess its worth a shot though, you could try it. sean 371
SUPPOSEDLY you can gain 3 db by going areo. But I don't know how true that is. andym85
i highly doubt a 3db gain by switching to aeros. i have heard that aeros are more effiecient with the flow of air, so maybe a tenth, or a few tenths at the most...if any gain at all. but try it, maybe u will suprise us all. Slinky
yeah, 3 db is a lot of diff. it takes twice the power to gain 3 db. your not gonna gain 3 dbs just by an aero port. David
SUPPOSEDLY you can gain 3 db by going areo. But I don't know how true that is. depends on the application, I have heard of people getting louder with areo's, then slot ports, or squared ports. it's really hard to tell you what will be louder in your application, you have a wall correct? I only know of a few people that have used round ports in a wall, I tried round 2 6" round ports in my first wall, I didnt care for it, they werent areo's though. its gonna be a test and tune type of deal, build, tune test, retunes test agian. goodluck, keep us informed on your project.
