OrionStang Posted October 22, 2011 Report Posted October 22, 2011 been pritty quiet in here.. workouts are going good, sucks how you lose weight and strength gets in half tho =/ if loseing weight but wanting to still be big and get ripped, would be worth training with 6-8 reps instead of my aim 8-12 You can do both. No carbs at all before the gym. A lot of carbs with your postworkout meal. Fibrous carbs(veggies) with dinner. Here is something to try if you can workout just before lunchtime. 700am: 3-6 whole eggs, multivitamin, efa's 900am: 1/2lb chicken, green salad w/olive oil 1000am: Workout Postworkout have a whey protein shake with 25-40 grams of protein 30 min later, eat carbs. Have a couple tuna sandwiches, pasta and meat sauce, etc. I do 100-150 carbs this meal with 40-60 grams of protein. Snack on nuts and beef jerky until dinner. Dinner, 50-60 grams of protein, beef is best for this meal. LOTS of green veggies like broccoli, spinach, brussels sprouts. Jay would say no, but I usually have a little starch(corn or potato) with dinner, too. Before bed, eat 1 cup of cottage cheese or drink a casein protein shake. The lack of carbs before the gym does 2 things. It makes your body use fat for fuel and energy, AND it shocks your central nervous system to get stronger when you start liftng heavy weights. Eating carbs post workout replenishes your muscle glycogen, so you won't use muscle for fuel during the workout. You may need to manipulate the carb amounts, but keep the protein intake high all day. That'll be $100, please. SMD Super Seller My Feedback Thread

mbdblue Posted October 24, 2011 Report Posted October 24, 2011 might be a stupid question but....I never could eat that much. when I was hitting the gym everyday, I still didn't eat that much. Do you train yourself to eat heavily too? OrionStang Posted October 27, 2011 Report Posted October 27, 2011 So deadlifting today. Worked up to a triple at 445. Felt pretty easy, so went to 495 and did 2 with relative ease. This is with my left bicep and right pec still bothering me. Can't wait to see the gains when i'm finally healthy again. Also, haven't weighed my self in 2 weeks, and somehow dropped from 295 to 279. Don't know how, but i'll take it. SMD Super Seller My Feedback Thread
woodzyspl Posted November 1, 2011 Report Posted November 1, 2011 2 quick questions for ya lol. 1st is mrs, she not fat got lil bit fat, barley noticeable, but before she use just do ALOT abs and think itd make her small, we no what happend there lol so i had teach her do cardio ect but now after a workout she look 3x her size, assume just giant abs that under fat? best to stop ab work let em die down and lose weight then rebuild? and 2nd seeing you seem no injuries lol bro got a bad shoulder, 1 day doing lightweight shoulder press about half way into workout his shoulder hurt, now on bench or incline bench and sometimes back his shoulder gets to much and has drop the weight, sound like a pinched nerve? he taking a week off to see how it goes but worried it may take along time like my hand after car crash. so time off good idea? or work through the pain, been about a month and getting worse and he loseing alot size from it, especially alot of strength. thanks for any input AUSTRALIA do i need say more? OrionStang Posted November 1, 2011 Report Posted November 1, 2011 Sounds like your wifes abs get a good pump lol. Keep her on the cardio, tell her to lay off crunches, leg raises, etc. Static hold planks will keep them strong without building them up more. Another option is a dance/aerobic class. Something like Zumba, cardio and a full body workout, she won't lose any of her hard earned abs doing Zumba, trust me, its a bitch. My injuries come and go, but i've been lucky and they end up being things I can work through. If your shoulder is getting progressively worse, see the doc. There is so much that can go wrong in the shoulder joint, so you need a professional. Could be a bone spur, mineral buildup, scar tissue, nerve injury, slight dislocation, it goes on and on.
