I would suggest putting ur mids low-middle or so in the door and the tweeters just FORWARD of them, angled at the opposing seat (driver to passenger and vice versa). This will INCREASE the distance between the tweet and ur ear and keep the path from tweet to ear slightly longer than the path for mid to ear. Also, by playing w/ the angles of the tweets you can make the focal or cross point of the tweets directly BETWEEN the seats, centered.

If you can do that you will end up w/ a great front stage that comes at you from just above the center of the dash.

yeah but ive already faced my mids to the opposing person (driver to passenger) so dont i really want to put my highs farther from your head since those freq. travel much faster? im actually thinking of putting them in the dash and bouncing them of the front glass.

You DON'T want to do that? why not? It would sound bettter.

by putting the mid closer and tweet farther away it's doing the same thing as making the tweet soundwaves "bounce off" the windshield before traveling to your ear. It's lengthening the path from tweet to your ear in either case and thats what you want.

The prob w/ focusing the mids AT the opp. seat and bouncing the tweets off the window is if you try for ACTUAL imaging, and start fading left to right you can run into probs. The tweet has to bounce off the window then travel to the OTHER side to be in synch w/ the mid that is pointed that direction. Nothing other than position will tell/force it to do that tho, so the effect wil be a delayed "2nd tweeter sound" that can actually make it sound worse or like a slight echo. The same side tweet will be heard first and the opp side tweet can cause the echo.

I would try to center the crossing/focal point of the 4 speakers (2 mids 2 tweets) right between the seats and adjust from there.

well here are a couple of pics of where you would be sitting frome the passenger side maybe you guys could tell me the best place to put the tweets cause im a little confused now i really thought that bouncing off the glass would be best but...

Posted Image

my first idea was to put them in the door right under the sail but then i think they will be even closer to me than the mid cause the mid will sit kinda in that hole toward the bottom corner of the door

I would put my mids in the doors right under dash level and angled toward the center of the car right between the 2 front seats as the focal/crossing point, and the tweets in the door slightly forward of the mids, OR tweets in the kicks pointed at the same spot as the mids.

unfortunetly my sails are to thin and its not really an option but i was considering in the door right under that, would that work? that was my original plan before i even started this project and it would

have the best look i think.
