meade916 Posted July 20, 2009 Report Share Posted July 20, 2009 so anyway i have this nice new Iphone gs 32mb - i really like it, it is the cadillac of all cell phones IMO.....but the battery life is HORRIBLE!!! If i didnt sit at a computer at home, have a car charger plugged in on the way to work and sit at work next to a computer, i dont know how i would get by! my screen is not ultra bright, its about half-way. I disabled wifi to see if that helped and if it did, i didnt notice much. am i the only one? Anyone have any suggestions? I cant live my life tethered to a usb port dammit LOL! BJD3 Posted July 20, 2009 Report Share Posted July 20, 2009 (edited) I'm still rocking the first gen iPhone, but my battery life shows a notable improvement after I turn WiFi off. I also have Edge turned off though. But I also have themes and what not running, so I'm sure that makes up for that. The only thing I have seen that will make my phone actually last throughout the day is just not using it (and I mean almost completely maybe an hour of music/internet or moderate phone/text useage at most). I leave my wifi on most the time but i keep bluetooth off and so on. If u are on it for long periods of time talking i have noticed it goes down rather quickly but i have had good luck with mine. On an Edge network I can run 2 days without a recharge on those same settings. the backlight is murder to the battery...
