Sundown Amp Clamp Tests

Recommended Posts

Wow...am i reading this correctly...slightly above 1 ohm, at 12.8 volts the 1500 made 1900 watts? Holy sh!t..so wouldnt this thing easily break 2k on a solid 14+ v system. Damn that is insane.

Assuming the same ohm load, you could easily break 2kW with a solid 14+ volts.

My comp setup (Not bad for what it is):

HP Compaq Presario V6120US laptop with:

15.4" widescreen

AMD Turion 64 X2 1.6GHz processor

2x1GB stick DDR2 SDRAM (667 Mhz)

Seagate Momentus 500GB SATA HDD

128MB shared video memory

Windows 7 Home Premium 64 bit

12 cell Lithium Ion battery (actual battery usage time: 6 hours)

What it does:

On a USB 2.0 Wireless card

SAE-1200D:

POWER : 1770 Watts

AMP VOLTAGE (measured) : DID NOT MEASURE

AMP CURRENT (calculated) : DID NOT MEASURE

ACTUAL IMPEDANCE (calculated) : DID NOT MEASURE

SUPPLY VOLTAGE : 12.65 V

What will this amp do at 14.4 Volts?

Close to 2000 Watts?
