Running amps strapped more efficient?

Would it be more efficient to run my amps strapped at 2 ohms than having them both running at 1ohm? :unknw:

dont quote me on this but i dont think so because theres still gonna be a final 1 ohm load to each amp.

- Kenwood Excelon x-794, 4v preouts

car audio is just a LOT more complicated than "this amp does this power" or "this sub will be this loud". its like 2 + 2 = banana. (if that confuses you then you get the point) lol

I think it would be the same. Both end up being 1 Ohm. The whole point to strapping is so all the settings(Gains, LPF, SubSonic Filter, etc.) would be matched

I always wondered if you sync two or more amps, what happens if all the amps are a couple hundred watts off a piece. Even though the amps are the same model, doesn't mean they both have the same amount of watts. Example two 2000 watt amps, one might be 2100 watts and the other may be 1900 watts.

the test results on the saz-1500's says that they are more efficient unstrapped. i dont know if that goes for all amps but thats the only example i have.

If I answered you in a well mannered, informative way, you asked a good question or had a good attitude. If I was an asshole, you asked a stupid question or you had a fucktard attitude... or I was in a bad mood.

some amps have a master/slave mode, i believe that makes sure that the amps are set the same. Dont quote me on it, but im fairly sure.

Same efficiency, the amps see exactly the same load, 1 ohm each.

If one amp is making a tiny bit more rail voltage or something then one side of the wave will clip before the other does :) Up to that point they'll behave exactly the same.

I believe you won't get as much rise unstrapped. Strapped amp act like one large amp.
