Tek
I was wondering if I were to get an underbody kit of neons or LEDs, how long could I leave them on for before my car dies? I obviously won't drive too much with them on so I want to see if they are worth getting. Thanks, Sam
basshead4life
just leave the car running when they're on, or get a second bat with an isolater just for the neons Quote Team S.M.D. Maritime Car Audio- (2) 18" SSA ZCON D1 - American Bass 500.1 - 60 ft of 3/0 -480 Ah of battery - (2) stock alternators (70 +90) - Kenwood Excelon x-794, 4v preouts car audio is just a LOT more complicated than "this amp does this power" or "this sub will be this loud". its like 2 + 2 = banana. CarAudioFab
LED's use like no power so you could probably leave them on awhile Quote -Mark Host of "CarAudioFabrication" - YouTube Car Audio Tutorial Channel Check out my forum section here on SMD for my builds and tutorial videos! Tek
so one person said LED's wouldnt kill it. Can anybody else varify that one?
TechSys
LEDs take a lot lower voltage to run. This means you can run them much longer without the vehicle running. Cathodes also take less voltage, but they use more than LEDs. www.oznium.com is tha place to see or buy some good stuff Quote Team Pinnacle / Team SouthEastSPL / Team SoundStream / Team GPI / GPI Sales Rep for Florida and Georgia

tacomabanga1986
real neon runs from a transformer that boosts the 12v dc to, well mine boosts it to 9500v ac, and pulls like 10amp of current, but ive ran mine about 3 or 4 hrs str8 with car off n radio full tilt n no dead battery, if u get a big enough battery it takes a while to kill it, i had a duralast gold 1050amp battery in my honda with 2 mtx 4500 1544's ran from a mtx 500d and a stinger 1f cap wired to 1ohm on a 2ohm stable amp n my battery stayed fine for about 3 months, so i dought neon will kill it but led is the way to go, a cathode is kinda like a led, but i like leds better cause with multi colored kits u get leds that have red, green, n blue in em that make all colors, even white, and lets u make em chase n alternate n what knot i might get me some led bars later on Quote here's a link to my system 99 toyota tacoma , 2 mtx 8000 1504's in a sealed downfire , 1000w memphis amp here's a link to my other system my 90 geo prizm test car heres a thread i got of new songs u can dl that are legal = Some Good Bangage/you Can Dl These Free And Legit
