5k rms i wanna get kenetic batteries...how many for 5k?

For batteries though, especially for that amp, 4 kinetik 2400's. I had 3 2400's on a AB 500.1 and you could see some voltage drop.

Whenever i am deciding on batteries, what i do is get enough batteries to support the system standalone. I use my alternators as intended as a charging system. I have 2 ohio generator alts in my van, i only count on them to charge, not run the system. When you count on them to power the amps, you put such a load on them, they have a greater chance of burning out/ or at the very least, lower the life expectancy. Also with a higher demand from the alt, it will get hotter, which decreases its output.

buy lots of batts, your alts and amp will like you for it

Why not get powermaster or powersurge. I use Kinetike before and it great but i did look for another route if money was an issuses.

solo where did u find the 1400 kinetik for 140 apiece. i am getting ready to buy more batteries for my setup and thats an awsome price. let me know man thanks

if you search kinetik batteries on froogle theres a site that sells these batteries called tempest i think, equal to kinetiks and there really cheap, i thnk u can get a 1200 for under 100$ before shipping.

4 kinetik 1800 would be cool or look into 2000's and check the prices
