Just curious what are you going to sand that with??

well i was going to use the air sander but i got lazy and im also a very pacent man on this build so i got my 21in belt sander and took my time. some of the spots bubbled away from the pod so i know im going to have to do another layer. maybe tomorrow because i dont have enough resion

its cool. ive been working on getting more SQ out of my pods and i have a few tips if he wants em.

yeah bro i was meaning to keep up with the subs and have some good ass sq out of them. so far all i know is that the 8 and 6 are going to get different fq along with the highs but im deffently down for some tips! i mean thats why i got on smd to begin with

make separate chambers for each set. from what i see of your pods now, every driver will be fighting for the same air and they will affect each other. i just redid my pods for that reason and the results were great. the mids should be as far forward as you can get them and the tweeters up high. you will have problems with the midrange speakers firing into the seat like that, it would be a better place for the midbass but i understand they wouldnt fit. in an SQ setup every speaker will be firing directly at the driver's ears. they can also fire at the opposite person's ear for a decent sound stage for both driver and pass. it looks like the tweeters are actually pointed forward? if you can angle them at the seats more you will get better sound and staging. im guessing that the way you have the speakers now will make the sound stage very low and wide. instruments will sound like they are next to you. ideally it should be rite in front of your face.

if you havnt already, look at going active. it really makes a difference.

you should at least be able to make separate chambers easy enough still. that includes sealing the holes you made in the back. make it a good sealed chamber. the other tips will be good for your next project and for your friend's. feel free to pm me if something i said isnt clear.
