Also, if I were to use aluminum would I notice a significate difference in voltage or anything over using copper? If you go with the equivalent aluminum, you must increase the size (diameter) of the wire than you would for copper. The reason aluminum is used is because it's more cost-efficient to run the aluminum. Depends on the size of the bar (thickness and width), they have amp ratings for them.
