I don't think he is talking about sound of the sub he is talking about quality and if the sub will handle what you end up throwing at it those types of things. What makes this site great is that these companies that dont have millions to spendon advertising have us to do it for them, for free, and we all get hyped about it because it is something unique. Even riding on the dc bandwagon I still see maybe one other person at a car show with DC subs, but dozens with mmats, kickers, and alpines. There is a fanboy for every company out there. LOL Seriously though, the whole thing about people jumping on a bandwagon, is just human nature. Sure, it's silly, but it happens ALL the time, with ALL different subjects. I see it in fishing constantly. But you see now, this is why you will see me refer to myself as a whacko... odd-ball... far-left, etc, etc, kind of guy. I'm proud to be as self thinker. Even in situations where I end up at the same place, I often have taken a different path to get there. If I see a whole bunch of guys going one direction (whatever the subject, fishing, car stereo, photography, etc), I'm always the first to go off the other way.... often, completely by myself. In the fishing world, I do some of the whackiest, out of the norm things, that a nooby would get ripped on, and laughed at over, but a lot of guys are like..... well if Fish Chris is doing that, maybe I should try it too. But I always just tell them, "Dude, this is just what works for me. But you need to do what works best for you. Forget about everybody else". Forevrbumpn Posted August 10, 2009 Report Share Posted August 10, 2009 I'am way outside the box on subs, but as far as a brand name, I would prefer DC I have installed since 96 to about 05', and have gotten my hands on just about all subs between that time frames. Now I'am all about custom 1 offs, but as I said, would prefer DC, I have installed 2 pairs, and sounded great on the amps, and boxes that they were used with, and I also know Rusty is a cool ass dude, and very good with customer service Quote I have a ritual called "terminator". I crouch in the shower in the "naked terminator" pose. With eyes closed I crouch for a minute and visualize either Arnie or the guy from the 2nd movie. I then start to hum the T2 theme. Slowly I rise to a standing position and open my eyes. It helps me get through my day. The only problem is if the shower curtain sticks to my terminator leg. It sorta ruins the fantasy.
