i was thinking leave the 12 sitting in the box in the hole and duck tape from the bottom of the sub to the bottom of the baffle so the sub doesnt free air. would that work?

For a more sensible reply (unusual for me!)

Both are great subs, the DCs are my preferred weapon of choice though more expensive.

Have a look at this lads videos, 2 x 15" level 5s in the boot of a grand cherokee in a box designed by myself...... seems to work quite nicely :)
