meade916 Posted September 17, 2009 Author Report Posted September 17, 2009 thanks everyone and yes, the BTL's are D 1.4 since i had a single T4000.1bd on each and i wanted .7 (paralell). Nothing i can do about it right now. they are not D2's they are D1.4's, why not just call them D8's? LOL. Anyway, a D .7 sub should be TECHNICALLY a D1. A D1.8 has always been TECHNICALLY a D2. A D 1.4 is somewhere in the middle. When my AA/SMD's get released, i will make sure i get the right coil config to get max power from my amps - dont worry bout that one LOL!!! For now, D1.4 will do and is probably better for the subs since 6500w is probably pushing it on a BTL. I would say that while im using the old subs, they will have a HEALTHY 5,000 on each one, and probably be effortlessly. xander87mp Posted September 17, 2009 Report Posted September 17, 2009 They are stable to 0,7 ohm the amply ?? Quote
meade916 Posted September 17, 2009 Author Report Posted September 17, 2009 They are stable to 0,7 ohm the amply ?? i would say yes, and with imp rise, your over 1ohm anyway when it all comes down to it Quote All SMD products + MORE available at my store here! https://wccaraudio.com/ Subscribe to My Youtube Channel! xander87mp Posted September 17, 2009 Report Posted September 17, 2009 Amply not risks that go into protection with impedance below 1 ohm? Quote
meade916 Posted September 17, 2009 Author Report Posted September 17, 2009 it might, it might not, depending on how sensitive the protection circuit is. But like i said, once you start playing your system, impedance rise brings you above .7 anyway which helps keep it out of protect. Ive always ran my RF amps at .7 ohms with no problems. I dont work for RF so if you plan on buying a RF amp, your best bet is to always follow their specifications and guidlines, whatever they are for the amp you choose. 98crewcab Posted September 18, 2009 Report Posted September 18, 2009 not to stray off topic, but this impendance rise thing....? So what can I expect from running 4 dual 2ohm type r's to 1 ohm, all 4 to 1 mono amp? Higher than 1 ohm with imp rise?
