Hunters21w
Yea thats exactly what I have to do. I only tested it for a couple days tho. I miss it So when your 10s are hittin 150 db, is it just all around loud or is it just loud on the meter? I have an 18 but it seems like people with 2 10s are hittin some numbers with ease. You think itd be easier with 1 18" btl? in your opinion of course. I know theoretically an 18 should be easier because of cone area, but does 2 motors come in to play when hittin higher numbers? 06 Police TahoeHU- Pioneer 80prsAmp- Crossfire 8kSub- 4 15" Crossfire xs v2sWire- 1/0 Knu/AudiotechnixAlt- 3 Mechman SMD 340sBatts- 6 XS Power 3100s, 2400
Hunters21w
Anyone? Does motor force prevail when runnin a similar setup like this? Or is it always cone area? Dont mean to thread jack, just was curious. Sweet build tho mayne 06 Police TahoeHU- Pioneer 80prsAmp- Crossfire 8kSub- 4 15" Crossfire xs v2sWire- 1/0 Knu/AudiotechnixAlt- 3 Mechman SMD 340sBatts- 6 XS Power 3100s, 2400
siucsaluki11
I think it has to do with the ratio of motor force to cone area. I heard once something about fighting the power of compression, and the best i can figure out is that its possible for the 10s because they have more motor strength per unit of surface area, making it easier to keep putting out more pressure, since it has to fight the pressure inside of the car. Idk, im rambling now. But ya....ratio of force/area. woman..cant live with em...cant shoot em...guess were all fucked You might be a Redneck if you use your leftover gutters for a speaker box port... mr.p
also gotta take into effect the paramaters of the woofer, a 10" is going to generally have less moving mass (higher FS) adding spiders to an 18" btl would probably raise the FS but now the thing is stiff as all hell and you lose a ton of efficiency.
