meade916
like chode said.... they ALL bad a$$ subs. I'v heard dd9515's & MT 12's. they pound'd great . the mts shoulda be louder (user error) I own a fully loaded btl 15. i like it but.....all the hype iv read bout it kinda hpye'd me up 2. i think i was xpecting more cuz of the hype. all in all it sounds great and iam happy.... 4 now :~> woofers dont magicly make your system/bass sound good....you need the box especially and rest of your system to be not only good but RIGHT for the situation. If you werent happy with the BTL 15 i would take a look at other stuff first before i started feeling dissapointed. If 1 15" sub just isnt enough for you i can understand that though but being a BTL you could probably make a change or 2 and your opinion may change with it. I know if i did so much as turn my box the opposite direction, id HATE my subs too but it wouldnt be their fault it would be mine for having the box facing the wrong way. got pics of your current setup so maybe we can figure out why you possibly wouldnt be happy with a BEAST like the BTL? Gula187
i was talkin to a guy yesterday and i told him i wanted four 9515's or mt's and he said that i wouldnt need a lot of power (i know i am going to need at least 4000+ watts) because that many coils the subs will be very efficent is that true or what
stevh0
you going to need a small power station in you car to run four 9515's efficiently i love the 9500 series , they do get damn loud , but it all depends on the box . as with most woofers . you could probably have a cheap $100 woofer in the box , sound much louder to the ear then a $600 woofer in crap box . btw 4x 9515's will probably rip your car apart
Forevrbumpn
more cone area, more efficient, less power to make louder. Yeah 4- 15s will get louder than 2 15s, but could be a problem, because at higher excursions, when all the cones are going the same directions, the pressure in that box with the 4- 15s will be very high, and you would need just enuff more power, to get those subs to compress all that air even more- basically, the subs will fight eachother in a common chamber box, but they will get louder anyways, with less watts. My opinion is for the DD9515 Quote I have a ritual called "terminator". I crouch in the shower in the "naked terminator" pose. With eyes closed I crouch for a minute and visualize either Arnie or the guy from the 2nd movie. I then start to hum the T2 theme. Slowly I rise to a standing position and open my eyes. It helps me get through my day. The only problem is if the shower curtain sticks to my terminator leg. It sorta ruins the fantasy.
Slinky
go for the cone area.
