Atomic 5000.1 for an 18" Fi BTL

Recommended Posts

I've come across an Atomic 5000.1 that might be used in conjunction with my 18" Fi BTL. A friend of mine is willing to sell me either a rebuilt and tested 5k for $650 or a non-rebuilt, still in perfect working condition for $675. Are these prices good for the amp? Is it worth my time? They were strapped together to give hell to a pair of Lvl 5 10s. He had the alternator and battery bank to back up the power needed for the amps. Any and all input, opinions, information, etc. is more than welcome. PLEASE HELP!!!

5k is pushing it but i say go for it im sure the btl can handle it. the only thing is that you have to make sure the bow is right for that amount of power. isnt there only a few sets of lvl 5 10s out right now?

Yeah, it's Thorshammer, great guy, just met him recently, only a few months ago but coolest guy you'll ever meet. he's goin with a 14k, forgot what brand or model it was, but yes, from my knowledge he is one of 2 people with a pair of lvl 5 10s, the other pair is in Hawaii, i think.
