What is the smallest ANL fuse I can put in the T10001bd amp and still be safe for full power at least for 1 competition?

I could be wrong but doesnt it all depend on the ohm load & resistance in the wire from the battery to the amp? my amps have 3-40 amp fuses, but I have them running on 60 amp ANL's. sure the anl fuses are warped & discolored because of the strain they are under but they hold in competitions. Its all about your setup. Just get some anl fuses & try them.

Current System:

Pioneer 6900 HU

Front Stage: (for now)

Soundstream tarantula 5.25 in the doors

mine has a 150amp fuse in it.

Mine has a 150 in it also but I am talking about possible going to like 100 amp fuse long enough to make it 2 runs in the lane for 30 seconds. The reason for this is so i can drop down 1 class because I am barley over right now

well will there be any adverse effects on the amp if I put a 100 amp fuse in it and burn it in a burp?

I dont want to mess anything up and I would rather move up a class and be safe, but if is safe to drop the fusing to 100 for a coupe burps then I would try it.

wont hurt anything but if your system peaks and you hit louder and the amp is pulling say 115 amps and you only have 100A fuse your missing out on that much power....amp will be fine...just wont see any power

Hang on a second.

Are we talking about the fuse IN the amp or an in-line one before it?

The fuse IN it, do not change from the factory value. It shouldn't matter what value it is for competition.

The inline fuse before it, you could probably get away with a 100A, especially if it's just burps. I think Jacob from Sundown said with ANLs you can often get away with a burp with crazy small fuses, IIRC he burped a 3000D off a 60A or something once?!?
