I would do slave only unit, alum face plate, OEL display, copper chassis, 30band 1/3 octave eq, built in DSP, HDCD decoding, SACD/ DVD Audio- fully discreet channels, optical/SPDIF digital outs, seperate brain unit so someone doesnt try and squeez all that stuff in one head unit, and scrap quality--with a few aux inputs, like USB, RCA, and mini plug.... But until that day I just buy the deh-5800 and up models from pioneer.... But ofcourse Denon kicks ass McIntosh is awesome, but large, and out dated looking, unless they made new models rescently my 2cents Quote I have a ritual called "terminator". I crouch in the shower in the "naked terminator" pose. With eyes closed I crouch for a minute and visualize either Arnie or the guy from the 2nd movie. I then start to hum the T2 theme. Slowly I rise to a standing position and open my eyes. It helps me get through my day. The only problem is if the shower curtain sticks to my terminator leg. It sorta ruins the fantasy. Personally, for SQ, Clarion D1 seems to be a pretty reasonable deck. but its a pure deck. gettin imaging thru TA would be a b1tch without a processor.
