crunch gp3000d or ia20.1

IA 20.1 for me too. If I were to swap out sundown for either of those it would not be for Crunch I think it would be trading down. The IA would at least be an even trade or a trade up.

Agreed.

I'd get the IA20.1 over the GP3kD any day.....iirc the 30kd only does 2800wrms of clean power.

so maybe i should get a sundown 3000d for now and wait till i can get another one...??

That'd be a good idea. IIRC, that amp puts out 3300 watts with a steady 14 volts.

My comp setup (Not bad for what it is):

HP Compaq Presario V6120US laptop with:

15.4" widescreen

AMD Turion 64 X2 1.6GHz processor

2x1GB stick DDR2 SDRAM (667 Mhz)

Seagate Momentus 500GB SATA HDD

128MB shared video memory

Windows 7 Home Premium 64 bit

12 cell Lithium Ion battery (actual battery usage time: 6 hours)

Not true, that amp will put out a clean 3500 at .5 ohms on good electrical. There are test results on Termpro if you want to see them. I have my own test results of it on .5 nominal rising to 1.26 reactive and making 2800 watts with a voltage drop to 11.9 volts. If you can keep that voltage above 13 on a burp hello 3500 watts. This was with the gain set a little above 3/4 and no bass boost off of a 2 volt preout deck. That is why the gain had to be set so high. They are strong amps and will put out power if you can keep voltage going into them.

On the other hand whoever said IA is an upgrade over Sundown is crazy! First of all the amps are made in the same factory. Second of all Jake from Sundown and Nick from IA will tell you that neither of their amps are better than the other. They are good friends and both of them make a very nice product. I wouldn't say that one is better than the other at all, I'd love to own both and I do love my Sundown :)

I used to own a (Paperweight) Crunch Powerzone P1500.1 in my Lincoln and that thing was a joke, I replaced it with an old Memphis amp I had just to have some beat. I would personally go with Sundown but of the two I would rather use the IA.
