Is it pretty easy to set everything with a dmm? I'd turn the bass on the head unit way down and then tune it from there. I don't know about that amp but if it's heating up it sounds like it clipping the subwoofer. Have someone at a wwell know shop look at it and let them give you there feedback. VistaV6 Posted September 11, 2009 Report Share Posted September 11, 2009 I have found it best to leave my HPF at 125hz, eq to powerful, bass boost to 0, loudness to high....and then I just adjust my bass knob accordingly. With those settings I have found I can easily go from slamming to SQ with the bass knob alone... Hes got a Pioneer 4100 dvd subs at -8, powerful eq setting. and no loudness.
