audiofanaticz Posted September 21, 2009 Report Posted September 21, 2009 PM Sent to Bangin. The composite cones only go down to 10 inchers anyways But not needed on a 8, but the CF dustcaps are still made to fit. Quote
Boon Posted September 21, 2009 Report Posted September 21, 2009 You can special order the 1508's in comp cone (Assman has a bunch) but it'll cost you your firstborn child and I don't think you would gain much. They are beefy enough with regular cones IMO. Quote 10.x volts fo' life!

Boon Posted September 21, 2009 Report Posted September 21, 2009 Does DD include a basket in their re-cones? Nope. Why would they? Baskets are very cheap though. Quote 10.x volts fo' life!

Just called my "local" shop (a good 45 min drive) and he appologized and said he cannot give quotes over the phone cuz DD said so. So now I have to spend an hour and a half of drive time just to get pricing. Wont even be able to get a listen to any of it, look at any of it, just see what it costs. The only thing i dont like about going through companies like DD, AA, Fi, DC, Sundown is never having a chance to listen to the equipment first. I didnt list AQ cuz ive heard numerous D.O.A. setups that were AQ subs and AQ amps. Atleast AQ, Sundown and Fi all list pricing on their website.
