LOL, While we were assembling it today, he said the SAME EXACT THING. I have a few ideas up my sleeve. Money is a big concern on this build, so only time will tell what I do. I do know that the box is going to be bedcoated for its finish, and a local spray bed truck bedliner place in my area said they will do it, so we'll see how good that comes out. I'm sending an email out to DJ to see if he could hook me up with some sort of AQ letters (never hurts to ask!)

Let me just add this: Those port support slots (the boards in my port) all there edges are rounded over sanded smooth, but those pictures just didnt pick up that detail.

im glad to see the piece for the letters came out easy

u should still do the 4 other vertical supports w/ 2x4s or equivalent between each woofer and make sure to round over the port on the inside of the box too if u havent... leave not 90 degree angle in that box... even where there is a 2x4 on the bottom going from side to side... put resin on each side so u dont have any air getting trapped, be anal <<lol

using bed liner IMO even helps with dampening the box too to get rid of higher frequency vibrations

are you doing bed liner inside and out? if not on the inside use some kind of sealant so the mdf isnt exposed to any air, that way moisture wont affect it over time

dont be shy with bracing/resin/mat... if u build it like a tank the dBs will come

are u counter sinking the subs or are they going to sit on top of the baffle?

subs will not be counter sunk, I want as much wood for the t-nuts to bit thru. The weight on this box is just to much, and if I was to counter sink them, I would want to use 3 baffles, and just dont want that extra weight. I think 2 baffles will be fine. Kris, the supports are only just getting started, not done in that area yet.

Well, Brian was over today, and THIS BROTHA IS NO JOKE!! Here is todays progress in a picture form. What is left now, is 45 degree resined angles (Cant wait to do this) and more 2x4 bracing where needed. I did a light sanding (as not much was needed as brian measures 34 times, then cuts . I am going to putty up all the counter sunk holes, and sand tham all smooth, etc..... On to the pictures:

I'm 5'6"... And that box requires the rear seat of a tahoe to be taken out.
