thehoe92 Posted September 30, 2009 Report Share Posted September 30, 2009 I've never had a problem playing around with an XL on a 3,000w, whether it was my wall with a DC 3000.1 on each or P beating around with a pair of mmats 4000.1s @1ohm each. Sounds like your clipping a little bit try and get a scope on it or keep playing with your settings. If that is the case, your amp is the weak link not the woofer. you may be able to give it more power if its clean, its all in the equipment and settings. it sounds like a pretty sick setup Where the vids? -Drew preach it!the best thing I ever did was get my amp oscoped. my sub never gets warm and my voltage barely drops because it isn't having to play a clipped signal Quote Wouldnt be thehoe92 without teh purple Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

But the power definitely isn't the problem. We wired up my buddies 15" 4xl @ .5ohm on my AB VFL400.1 in my old single 15 box and it took multiple bassrace runs and demos w/ no issues at all.
