4/0 Accesories?

Recommended Posts

i hope you don't just have a 1000 watts amp running with that 4/0 gauge. tell me you have like 4 Rockford T40001bds or something. people don't just find the biggest wire they can for least resistance. they do it because they are pushing a lot of juice and with 4/0 gauge you're talking over 20,000watts RMS

You are absolutely wrong. Look at Pornstar from roe. He's using 8 runs of 1/0 for + and 8 of 1/0 for -. It's so that for the quick time he's burping, he can get as much juice there as possible as stated by irrupp.

I can also get 4/0 gauge for less than kicker 1/0, so why not? If you're just going to try and insult or downgrade my plans, I'd rather have you not post in this thread. Thank you.

again its because of class rules that pornstar made that many runs (sick #s from just one sub)

And he does have a point, while strand count may not be the same welding 4/0 is very flexible for what it is and also very well suited for doing runs under the vehicle. Plus around my area its only around $3.50 a foot.

i'm sorry if you got offended. now they you've pointed out what you were using the 4/0 gauge for i understand. i don't do that squalling on forum .... i leave that to others. i come to give and take advice and i learn something everyday. in your case and what you're trying to go for then 4/0 gauge would be okay. good luck with that man. i don't intend to criticize anyone  i aim to inspire cause that's what i want others to do to me ........... sorry for the offense.

I just interpretted what you were saying in a different way than you meant it. I think everyone else took it as me being pissed. Misunderstanding and thank you for the information and advice.

The 4/0 is like 3$ a foot shipped. Just figured I'd replace my POS 1/0 wire with it since I have kicker 1/0 for my big 3. I have a 300 amp Iraggi alt, but no extra batteries as of yet either. I plan on picking up a couple monsters soon to hold me over til' more of the new stuff starts rollin in.

I really need to find a good deal though on some RF products. If I can't, I'll probably run a ZX2500.1 instead. I also may run RF 2/0 rather than the 4/0 because I really don't want that big of a hole in my firewall either. *Shrugs*

I know the 4/0 is excessive, but I just figured if I can get it for a good price, whynot? I figure it's better to have and not need than to need and not have.

yeh that 4/0 gauge would create a nice size hole. 2/0 gauge would do great also. as for the monster. are you talking about that batcap monster battery? i hear batcap is off the chain. my man unhooked his negative terminal off of his batter up front and his Rockford Fosgate T20001 kept playing off of his batcap 400 for almost 5 straight hrs. it was amazing to see how such a small little thing could pack power like a big battery.

Thats where I go.

Good prices, got all my 3/0 connectors from them.  You have a min. order though.

I think it was 15.00 so at 2.30-2.50 each for you.. roughly 6 pieces

good luck.

theres no such thing as too expensive when it comes to upgrades like that, because imo if you are gonna spend to upgrade then do it correctly rather then be a cheap ass ricer
