Andrew
A local kid just picked up a RF T10001bd and I couldnt decide whether to tell him to get 2 12" Type R's or 1 12" Fi Q seeing as to how theyre both in the same price range. Its going in a 2000ish mustang. Any suggestions? Thanks, Andrew New project in the works
sean 371
2 type r's would get louder, based solely on the doubled cone area. Andrew
What if I hooked him up w/ a hifonics 1600 watt amp? Which would work better out that way? 2 12" type R's or 2 12" Q's? New project in the works
ChevyBoy
dude you cant even compare fosgate to hifonics. which is it?
Andrew
It would be the 1k watt RF if i only did 1 Q, but if i did 2 Q's it would be 1600 New project in the works
sean 371
Well that RF is probably putting out around 1400, and that hifonics is putting out around 1500. You gotta be careful with the r's with either of those amps. You could get 2 SSD's and use the RF amp. That's probably the best way to go. Then each sub would get ~700 watts. I think thats your best option. ChevyBoy
i would choose the rf over the hifonics even if it put out ~200 watts rms less.
