AI James Posted November 22, 2009 Report Posted November 22, 2009 so what its disney land around here now, were all supposed to just say everythings all good when its not....please how are you supposed to learn if everyone just circle jerks to all the shithole builds that are posted. i dont have a personal problem with him at all, its just not hard to use a damn straight edge or to read a forum and get help/tips on how to as he puts it "use what hes got" i aint even looked at the wiring and would probably go over it again before powering everything up.

Also, I have no idea what you're trying to do with the paper taped to the back wall, but to looks ugly as fawk. I'm also confused as to why you wedged the box for the 8's in the leg room for the back seats. Why not just pull the seats? Nobody's gonna sit there anyway. I'm not trying to be a dick, but I'm definitely a person to say do it right or don't do it at all. I understand you're doing it on a budget, but the money would be much better spent on the big box and doing it right than on 4 8's and their box. If you're on a budget, you've gotta have priorities. Do one part right, then move on. Don't try to do it all at once and get overwhelmed and run out of cash and have it end up on a forum with people telling you what you did wrong. I really hope this thing turns out how you want it to. If you're fine with how it is, then I'm glad for you man, but I know you'd love it a lot more if you took the time and spent the resources to do it right. Rather than do it all at once and spend twice as much to redo it later, ditch the 8's for now, spend the money to do what you need to get done right (the big box) and then go back and do the 8's right when you have the cash. I promise you'll be 200% happier with it when it's all said and done. wtf is lolcats? I'd def get a fat hooker if i had to resort to that kinda thing. I feel like they'd be grateful and work harder. I promise you'll be 200% happier with it when it's all said and done. wow felt like i was reading a novel but i hear you, the seats are gonna get redone, and i promised my parents (they still own it technically) that i would keep the back seats there so that if someone was stupid enough they could sit there, plus the big box is going to be a long wait i need to come up with 1500 before i can do any work on the big one, and i am going to rebuild the box for the 8's that box is only to hold me over until i can get some good mdf for it
Team-Atomic-Andrew Posted November 23, 2009 Author Report Posted November 23, 2009 ooh yea wanted to explain the paper taped there, the paper was kinda a marker for my masking of the dat name on the wood, i painted the dat words in red, and the rest in black as you can kinda see plus the white capacitor will be repainted either red or black, havent decided yet, any one have a idea?

If not, why didn't you just modify the specs of the box so it's sits as high as you wanted it to? 2. Do you like how the carbon fiber treatment came out? 3. Why don't you hid that cap? Maybe just leaving a window for the display to be seen. Like on the other side of the board right where it's at, with a slot so you can still read the voltage. 4. Since the box for the 8's is where it is, obviously nobody can sit back there unless their feet are up on the seat, so why not just take the seats out? Since the box for the 8's is where it is, obviously nobody can sit back there unless their feet are up on the seat, so why not just take the seats out? to answer your questions 1. the riser does server a purpose, the back floor is very uneven and bumpy, therefore i made the riser to lift it up slightly so that the box is on a even plane, the wheel wells come up 9 inches into the car and the box would not fit right without it, 2. and no i do not like how that came out, i need to wait for my heatgun to shrink the overlaps, (i loaned it to a buddy) 3. i thought about that, i will do it eventually once bill gets some more amps (i need 3 more) so the cap is just a place holder at this time, i prolly will move it behind the wall 2morrow, 4. my parents FORCED me to have the seats in there, if it was up to me i would do 2 more 12's but i have to wait till i buy the car from them to do that, this was a compromise with them any more questions?
