Decaf
Don't use stailess steel Bolts, that is a horrible, horrible conductor.... Guys I live a a place where it rains 8 months out of the year,,, so water and corrosion is a problem. I like to use a product called "NO LOX",,, it is made by IDEAL, it helps prevent water and oxygen from getting into your connections and into the protective jacket. Also going back to that solder discussion, it will be interesting if your imp, would drop with ont direct run.. more port area.... sorry about the .25ohm thing I thought you were burping... Ideal's headquarters is in my town... steel threaded rod w/brass nuts and washers had no change in resistance when able to measure .00 ohms Edited November 3, 2009 by Decaf
sundownz
but you have 3 6" ports for 4 12"s. i have 2 6" ports for 2 12"s. i dont know how big your box is but it looks like i have more port area per cube than you do.it just sounds like im in that peak. i think next time ill tune lower so i can get to 45hz after that peak and still have good range for music. I have 20% more box volume with 50% more port area in my quad 12" box. Just means youre really reading 2 ohm.. My meter reads .3 with the leads touching so when i measure my amp load it reads .8 instead of .5 Quote Original Build http://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/index.php?showtopic=24095

My meter reads .3 with the leads touching so when i measure my amp load it reads .8 instead of .5 lol yes, i am aware of that. but if its off by .5 im not sure how much i can trust the other readings as well. my cheap clamp meter is probably crap as well. once i get the good meters from my dad, i will retest and see if there is a difference.
