Mr. 973808
Man what the hell am I to do?!!!! I went to this shop on Wednesday hoping to get hired as a "shop bitch" just to get some type of experience and this what happens. I talked to the owner with my confidence high as possible hoping he'll take me in. He asked if I was a installer and honestly I told him no but I did have some experience with installing a amp for friend of and almost got ready to covince him with my book I've done plans in since high school. Sadly just like I thought he shot me down quick as I could set him up to listen his words were "You need more experience and blah, blah, and etc". I mean how the hell am I suppose to get when no one will give me the chance? That was like he just basically said fuck you and have a nice day with a smile. I mean how am I suppose to get more experience when no matter how much I try to put myself out to there and ppl don't take me serious about this? Mr. 973808
I mean I told them that I go to school right down the street from them. But what's fucked up is that he's been looking for installers since Nov of 06. But it's just that fact that he didn't even give it any consideration of at least taking me that fucked me up. And besides the school go to is more a computer tech. school not mobile tech which sucks MAJOR MONKEY NUT SAUCE!!!! Ray
You need to go home do a GREAT amp install with all wires shown. Nice and clean. Then build some kick panels, or nice pods. Build finish panels in your trunk if you have 1. There are how to's on all of this. Then when your ready go back down there Quote 2008 California state record holder 157.2 Bassrace2009 California state record holder 157.0 BassraceRollin 50's 158.7db2009 King of Cali Bassrace2009 USACi score 160.5 @ 42hz
Guest Nismofreak
I understand man. Went to circuit city.the manager asked how old are you, said 16 and said to young. Asked if I did some installs and said yes but didn't have pics. Then he said these are pros that work here not 16 that did small installs. I said that I would smoke your guys shitty installs. I will try to finish my speakers for a upcoming show so I can prove that I know how to do it. FUCK Circuit City. O yah when I win I will be happy to show you my finger dick as manager and shove my application up his ass. lol Edited May 4, 2007 by Nismofreak
Mr. 973808
But my problem is when ppl ask if I got a car and I tell'em no they think I'm bullshittin them, but they're the biggest bullshitters by gassin me up and never show up to get anything done. So what if I don't have a car or license, if I know my shit and offering a damn near free install you should fuck with me. That's what I try to get through thier thick skulls but fuck it. sean 371
I've been trying to get a job at a shop ever since I started getting into car audio. Now I've done around a dozen installs, and built and rebuilt my own stuff a whole hell of a lot. It takes a looot of practice to get good at this, and no shop manager is going to want to waste their time with someone who says they know what they're doing, but don't have anything to back it up. I've been going down to shops and showing them my stuff as I've been building it, and they told me they'd hire me in a few weeks when summer hits. And another shop a little further away wants to talk to me about a job. So just take your time and build the best shit you can. And keep trying, it'll come your way. You're probably going to have to spend some money, build a real loud, but cleanly installed system before you catch any shop manager's eye.
