EricR
yea its because of the way i built it i forgot to figure in the port....i just need to cut a piece of mdf and sand it down real smooth and screw it in like i did the bottom you can bearly tell i did it like that....no wires yet im going tomorrow to get some 12 gauge....should i just put a good terminal or put bolts through the box for connections.... i was thinking leave the 12 sitting in the box in the hole and duck tape from the bottom of the sub to the bottom of the baffle so the sub doesnt free air. would that work? sean 371
Do bolts, or just push the wires thru and silicone around. Terminals I'd reserve for less powerful subs, they can be the weak point in any box if you don't reinforce them with fiberglass. It's better to have a straight wire through anyway, much better power flow. But the bolt method works nicely too. EricR
going to best buy to pick up some RF 12 gauge....gonna run it straight through the box to the amp so no worries for power loss hopefully the btl will arrive tomorrow i was thinking leave the 12 sitting in the box in the hole and duck tape from the bottom of the sub to the bottom of the baffle so the sub doesnt free air. would that work?
