Cop kills 2 innocent people and gets paid leave.

I see where every one is coming from. It could be 50/50. Yet the ones that were in the car that was hit may have been able to avoid the whole incident if the siren or lights would have been on so that they would have known the cop was coming. The video to me is a bit sketchy and I cant quite figure out why the cop on the left was letting him fly by on the right knowing it wasnt right to do with no siren or lights going. Makes me wonder how crooked some people can be. Im not saying anything against the cops it just seems crazy that he allowed the other guy to do that without trying to stop him knowing he could have caused an accident.

You say the video is "sketchy" because the cop on the left did nothing about his own fellow officer speeding by. From the time the speeding officer came into camera view to the time of the accident was around 5 seconds or less. Even if the cop on the left were to have immediately pulled into the right lane and attempted to "pull over" another officer. It would have taken much more than 5 seconds to do so.

What do u suppose the officer(the one with the dash cam) could/should have done at that point??

How would this make him or the other officer crooked in any way, shape or form??

How was the non-speeding officer suppose to stop the speeding officer in under 5 sec to a complete stop and avoid an accident??

Seems as though you're putting this all on the police officer as so many others have quickly done. The officer was at fault for excessively speeding but fault also needs to be put on the victims for being in the middle of an intersection, on a blinking yellow light @ 2:30am. It's become a well known fact through multiple interviews and reports that the 2 victims were both drinking a decent amount at a party earlier that night. This doesn't mean that the cop should be off the hook by any means but it does mean that the police officer can't be held 100% liable for what happened. But he will be held accountable for his actions, regardless of the BAC of the driver at the time because he is a police officer and not a "citizen". Then the police department will inevitably be sued by the families for untold millions because it will "ease their hearts" by getting paid for their loved ones dying.

I understand that people will call me too harsh or insensitive about this whole situation, but the fact is that I'm just being real. I'm truly looking at it from both sides and not just from the grieving family side of things as most people will.

I feel for the kids like everyone else but no one is mentioning the fact that the kids turned in front of the cop. around here when the yellow lights are on and you want to make a left turn you need to stop at the light and then proceed carefully though the light. It looks like they turned trying to beat the cop through the light. I now that cop was in the wrong but so were the teens.

Trying to become a state trooper right now, and the "fucking pigs" and shit like that is stupid. The cop as above said is at fault, but again so are the teens. the cop ws entirely at fault. and he should have never been driving that fat in the first place. they are the example. it is my opinion that if you are placed in a position of power you HAVE to be on your best ALL the time. the second he broke the law he was made to protect he forfeited his power and became a criminal. and he will be punished

that story is abit crayzy, i feel bad for the kids in that car, but i do believe, that the system takes it easy on cops when thy brake the rules just cause there police officers, if it was a normal person you know damn well it would of been a different story!

So you say the kids are not at fault at all. Last time I checked it was illegal to drive under the influnce of alcohol DWI. Also you are suppose to yield to oncomming traffic when making a left turn unless otherwise protected by a green arrow and obviously they didn't have that yet nor did they yield to the oncomming traffic. If they had not been drunk then their senses would have been better and they might have realized not to turn yet.

Yes if the cop had been going the speed limit then this would have probably never happend. But you can't sit there and say it's all the cops fault for this happening.

It is both parties fault. All of their actions from both parties created the end result.
