MTX J30
i drove a 1998 buick lesabre. it has a 3.8 liter v6 engine in it. i want to buy one of those cones from best buy and put it on my intake just to make it sound better. are there any better cones i can buy on ebay for a relatively cheap price that would fit my buick lesabre. i am not looking for a whole intake. i am just looking for a cone that will make my car sound a better. i want it to be as loud as possible. do you guys have any brands you would recommend. Beanz
why not get a k&n filter? Quote That's why they don't deliver. Yer ass better go sit along the side of the road and wait. You can't expect them to travel up some dirt road in a hick / back woods town. Thats how horror movies start I explain things very simply and use analogies in terms of Pickles, and grape drink, pool noodles and jackhammers...if you can't put 2 and 2 together there man, There simply is not much more I can do. MTX J30
why not get a k&n filter? r u being sarcastic. i thought filters didnt really matter. im only 18 and i didnt actually start caring about cars until i was 17 so i dont know much when it comes to anything besides audio Quote Once or twice I have missed having a back seat / rear hatch, but all in all people love to see a walled vehcile. siucsaluki11
ummmm is this thread a joke? They make some pretty dumb ass products these days. Save ur money and leave it alone. Or buy a whole intake. But thats just what i think (and i would go with leave it be.) Colin - STAPUFT
Go to the junkyard or pull-a-part and find a mid 70s caddy. They (and many other vehicles) have intake MUFFLERS. Noise from the intake = boo IMO. JSwongerAA
I put a cold air intake on my Grand Prix GTP and me and my roommate went for a ride to test it out. The first thing he said, "that's awesome! Now I can't wait to put a kazoo on my car!" Leave it stock. Please.
Mosin
If you really feel the need for a cone filter, go to your local Autozone or Oreillys and get a Spectre brand cone filter. At most you'll spend $25. Might as well piece together the tubing while your at at. Doubt you'll gain power, but you'll have the sound your looking for with maybe an increase on throttle response. mr.p
x2 on the kragen airfilter. every car ive installed an open air filter on, always notice a little gain and that underhood growl. none of the "cold air intakes" really are much of that these days.
