Boon
i think that amp has vertical mosfets which i guess people hate Heaps of amps have vertical mosfets... the problem with the Sampson/Atomic 7k/Cactus 7k etc etc is that they added more output MOSFETs without really over-building other parts of the output circuit like the drive circuitry and the output inductors. So they run hot even when they're idling and the driver boards are kinda stressed. Some people seem to manage it. Other's don't. I'm not sure I would try it myself. Quote 10.x volts fo' life! The first run of each of them especially was known to be pretty rough and even after some changes were made they still haven't been ideal. Just like Boon said some people who have run them have had pretty good success with them. It seems to be a hit or miss thing from what I've heard. If u decide to run it just make sure to have plenty of electrical backup, extra fans to run them as cool as possible, and mount them so they're vibration free as possible.
