cthedinger Posted November 26, 2009 Report Posted November 26, 2009 I did an experiment with my level 5s and not broken in I get 3 burps but breaking them in with a 20 hertz note at low power I got 8 burps so go figure.that was with 4 powerbass 5000s also i like this experiment! Marlo Stanfield Posted November 27, 2009 Report Posted November 27, 2009 Depending on the woofer I will free air them for like 20-40min to loosen them up on low power(no more than a couple hundred watts, that's for big power woofers btw). I've just always done that and in 9+ years of having systems I've only blown 2 woofers out of the 75+ I've tested or owned.
