Doesn't really matter to me you guys can believe whatever you want lol... I'm running a Grand Prix was well... my setup easily gets twice as loud as his (just going by RMS and the audio equipment im using.) and I don't go anywhere near 130dB I just don't think it's true... honestly I don't care what you guys think, if hes happy with his system then hes happy with it... but to me it sounded like he was making up BS to brag, and that type of stuff I find funny.

ALSO anyone who thinks a prefab box gets louder than a hand made one suited to your woofers needs to read up Subwoofers for dummies or something...

you do realize that twice the loudness of 130db is like 133?

i dont think he said that prefabs get louder...you need to stop posting for your own good until you read up on this site

btw my setup:

1 x Stock 105AMP alternator

2 x 15" Fi SSD copper coils @ 800RMS x 2

1 x Dual 15" Vented Enclosure tuned to 35.8hz @ 7cu ft.

1 x Pioneer HEADUNIT 50x4 mosfet

1 x Hifonics Brutus BXi1610D @ 1 OHM

1 x Alpine MRP-450 (running two Infinity 6x9's @ 250RMS each)

1 x Stock INFINITY 2 channel 200RMS

2 x Infinity 6x9 250RMS

2 x Infinity 6x5 100RMS

1 x Deep Cycle Battery

1 x HO battery

5 Gauge Wiring (would have went to 0 gauge but the amp recommends 4 :-/)

Big III Installed 0/1 gauge

The only thing I don't have right now is my amplifier... so im running two MRP 450 I know sad... not even running half my subs RMS, but still...

ok seriously if you can't hit a 130 with that setup your a fucking retard who should give up on car audio in my trunk i had a 15 Q on a bxi 1606 on all stock electrical and 4 gauge wire... no extra batteries and no big three and stock battery up front.... so i had half the cone area and same if not less power ans cored much higher then you... you dont know what your talking about so just shut your mouth about this kids system.... He is doing just fine... if he got advice from the deadly hertz team then im glad we could help and i can believe he hit that score with that setup... if he did build his own box properly then he most likely would score higher but i say good job and im glad you got an increase in score

I dont think he was bragging about his system. I do think his system could hit the 130 mark. I had 2 Memphis Mclass 124d (12" dual 4 ohm) and 1 Memphis PR 300.2 (600 watts max power). I hit a 138.2 in Db drag. As far as the mic, idk what brand or systme they were using but it was on the passenger side dash. It was also in a ext. cab Ford Ranger. The box was a Hooker Audio Slot ported box. Not real sure if it was a prefab box or not.

2017 Chevrolet Silverado LT CC - Will be running 2-3 DC Audion M3 8s, unsure of amp, Mechman 320 amp alt.

2005 Ford F150 - Bagged on 24s, fully shaved, raised bed floor.

now that i think of it i know why my system probably doesnt hit db's at all.. my seat doesnt fold down, thats probably why his probably has a lot more airflow...

i bet your system has a 140 db in it. If you have the tools to build a box, i'd say go for it, you could sell that prefab, and make your own box for less than the prefab, and if designed properly will sound better and be louder. There are tons of people on here that would be willing to design a box for you, and there is always the re calculator re box calc Thats a hell of a good first score, and kenwood is some pretty good equipment, hell my first was a sony sub and a no name amp lol
