Quote That's why they don't deliver. Yer ass better go sit along the side of the road and wait. You can't expect them to travel up some dirt road in a hick / back woods town. Thats how horror movies start I explain things very simply and use analogies in terms of Pickles, and grape drink, pool noodles and jackhammers...if you can't put 2 and 2 together there man, There simply is not much more I can do. speeddemon0308
read up on how small you can go before you need to retune and other shit..( exhaust, injectors, intake, and so on).. becasue if you just throw on a smaller pulley your going to run a bit lean and thats not a good thing! abaddon
I'd say 3.4 is as low you can go without major replacements. I'd go with a 3.4 pulley, 180* thermostat, 2 heat range colder plugs and at least 91 octane. You should be fine after that. Or if you wanna go big, go with a 3.25, 2 more heat range colder spark plugs, 3 inch downpipe, CAI, tune your PCM. Yeah KR happens pretty easily on these motors. I run 91+ and actually usually get 93 octane just to be sure. Make sure your maintenance stuff is taken care of too. If it hasn't been done, you should replace the gaskets on the top end of the motor (specifically the lower intake manifold gasket). Mine is already bad at 82k but luckily it seems to be leaking externally only so I'm putting it off until it warms up.
